Site Atheist Hit The Cracker
Melbourne – The Australian atheists in panic hit by cyber attack. Website institutions Atheist Foundation of Australia (AFA) and the Global Atheist Convention collapse hit the cracker.
Attack type ‘distributed denial of service’ is crippling their website to offline and not accessible anymore.
Predictably, the attacks carried out on the event-related protests Global plan Atheist Convention will be held in Melbourne in March 2010. Religious groups suspected of being behind the attack although there is no clear evidence.
Some religious groups in Australia allegedly not pleased with the football exploits this atheist group. As a result of these cyber attacks, tickets for the event can not be sold online until the site restored.
“Can we inform that the site Atheist Foundation of Australia and the Global Atheist Convention is a specific target in this attack,” said David Nicholls, President of AFA in a statement that was launched SMH.
Nicholls rate, the attack not only against atheists, but also the freedom of speech. He also hopes the two sites be restored soon.
Previously, cyber attacks against the site had also understand Scientology adherents in Australia. One of the perpetrators who were arrested threatened punishment to 10 years in prison.
