Malware that infiltrate As Spam Increasing
Spam emails are entered into not always contain advertising. Because, apparently, too many malware programs that infiltrate through the promotion of these undesirable.
Based on Symantec report Messaging & Web Security in October 2009 alone for example, an average of 1.9% of all spam messages circulating on the Internet contain malware.
This is equal to an increase of 0.6% from September 2009 which was the number of messages containing malware touched the highest figure of 4.5% of the total spam.
Symantec assess that the increase in malware that infiltrate this spam invasion fairly significant, when considering that 87% of all email messages in the month of October 2009 was spam.
One of the spam email is more interesting with the insertion of malware in it are spam disguised as a notification / notification from Facebook that the recipient’s password has been reset. The message is stored in a zip file inserts containing dangerous exe files.
Symantec detects it as an exe file Trojan.Bredolab. Bredolab variant is linked to a domain in Russia and the infected machine will likely be part of the botnet Bredolab.
