Tiger Woods Accidents trigger wave Scareware

According to Symantec’s security agencies, accident Woods has made a solid Internet traffic, became one of the top ranking in Google search since the news spread.
Symantec observed some search results by search engine that directs users to a malicious domain. Ie to sites which address curemypc-vir-now.com, egafuki.cn and online-scanner-free.net.
The site then directs users to a fake scanning process before issuing a series of notifications and the threat of serious error that was suggested to be cleaned from a user’s computer.
But what really happens is that the threat is false, and users unknowingly directed to purchase antivirus software that will invalidate can retrieve personal information for fraudulent activity.
Hon Lau on Symantec Response blog says, from the perspective of IT security, unfortunate incidents like this is one form of malware makers attempt to achieve profitability.
“Not surprisingly, the creator of the antivirus software is false or misleading applications have been integrated in a large community and trying to poison search results by Internet search engines for profit website, amid the increasing search activities,”.
